IdeaStarter Pro design is 100% template-based. All the templates are grouped into separate folders. IdeaStarter Pro templates are very easy to edit using any HTML-editor (DreamWeaver, FrontPage, etc.). There is also a built-in Template editor for effective customization of the templates.

The built-in template editor allows you to edit and preview the templates from which your store is built. As the templates engine is very flexible and extremely configurable, you may change the look and feel of your store so it will fit any design layout.

 
 
5. WYSIWYG text editor (webmaster mode) Top
 

Webmaster mode is one of the most convenient and fast ways you can use to edit templates. The text appearing in IdeaStarter Pro (all kinds of labels and messages) is stored in language variables. The values of these language variables can be translated practically into any language. Webmaster mode facilitates the process of changing language variables enabling you to change these values in WYSIWYG mode.
Moreover, when Webmaster mode is started, an additional "templates" window (the so-called Debugging Console) appears displaying a list of all the templates included into the page. The Debugging Console facilitates the process of template editing, helping you to determine which of the templates need to be edited.

6. CSS-compatible design. Cascading Style Sheets allow you to easily change styling of your pages Top
 

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. Styles define how to display HTML elements. CSS allow you to control the appearance of a text. It is possible to change the color of a text, to increase or decrease the space between the characters in the text, to align the text, to decorate it, to indent the first line in the text, and more. You can control the background color margin, border and other properties of an element IdeaStarter Pro styles are stored in one configuration file for IdeaStarter Pro templates engine. You can modify this file and change colors and other properties affecting the look of your store by using the template editor built into IdeaStarter Pro.

7. Debug console: displays a tree of templates for all pages Top
 

Debugging console is a pop-up window that displays a list of templates used on the current IdeaStarter Pro page. The information in this window is refreshed every time the page is reloaded. You can use this option only when you want to work with templates and disable it when you finish.

8. The possibility to find, create and modify static HTML pages Top
 

If necessary, you can create your own HTML pages and add them to your IdeaStarter Pro based store. IdeaStarter Pro interface allows you to easily build these pages into IdeaStarter Pro design.
You can create pages of two basic types: root and embedded.
Embedded pages are IdeaStarter Pro store stylized pages displayed in the information column of the store (the central column in the three-column templates scheme). The look of these pages depends on the store design in general, as you are allowed to create only the page contents (no <HTML>, <HEAD>, <BODY> tags need to be used). Links to embedded pages appear in the Help menu box.
Root pages are fully independent pages which you place at the end of IdeaStarter Pro directory.
Static pages of any type can be searched for, edited, deleted or temporarily hidden.

9. Customizable heading tabs Top
 

You can configure a set of shortcuts to the most important pages of your store to be displayed at the top of your customer front-end. This will simplify your customer's navigation about the store site.

10. HTML emails Top
 

You can send notifications and newslist messages in the form of either plain text or HTML emails. You can use the built-in template editor for creating professionally looking HTML emails for your needs.
